The symptoms of acromegaly are wide ranging, and may vary from person to person. They also tend to develop very gradually over time.
Some early symptoms of acromegaly you may experience include:1
- Your hands and feet becoming enlarged, particularly the width of your feet
- Slow changes in your facial features, including growth of your lower jaw, brow and nose, or changes in the spacing of your teeth
- Tiredness and difficulty sleeping
- Numbness and weakness in your hands
If you notice changes in how you feel, even if it is not listed as a symptom here, you should mention it to your healthcare professional at your next appointment.
