If you have schizophrenia, you’re not alone. Around the world, it’s estimated that 24 million people have schizophrenia.1
In the UK at any one time there are over 200,000 people being treated for schizophrenia in the UK2Around 1% of people will have at least one schizophrenia episode in their lifetime.2
It’s hard to put an exact figure on schizophrenia for a number of reasons:3
- It’s a complicated condition to diagnose
- It can overlap with other mental health conditions
- Different places use different methods to diagnose schizophrenia
